The Omega Witch Character Introductions: Alpha King Alexander Asmodeus
Updated: Feb 22, 2022
Hey All,
I’ve been writing these as we see the characters come up in the story.
SPOILER ALERT:
(It has to be here, I’m sorry. If you don’t want to know, skip this paragraph or wait for the next post.)
There will be two more alternatives to the Alpha King, one where he’s reincarnated and is still older than Vivian but has Aaron as his wolf instead (more on that when you meet Maximus). The other rendition of him is his younger self when he was supposed to meet his mate all that time ago.
Okay… resume:
Alpha King Alexander Asmodeus is a self proclaimed king. He has no roots to his leadership other than the anger that his mate never found him.
With this character we explore his life in the beginning of the book where Alexander has already aged. Due to the nature of this story’s time traveling we do go back in time with our main character and find out more about him in his youth towards the middle of the book. This is an important connection between how Alexander Asmodeus really got started on his terrible path.
Alexander’s name means protector of man while Asmodeous means destroyer of demons. Right there, within his name alone, we know that he’s dealing with things. Albeit, in the beginning of the story, the Alpha King is much older and has used Selene’s werewolves at his disposal. He’s been through a troubled past, never finding his Omega. While it is known that their world does not revolve around an Alpha and Omega pairing, and that other designations have been known to mate, Alexander is sure his mate is an Omega.
His trouble originates when he finds balance as an adolescent werewolf. It happens sooner for him and because of it, he believes Selene has reached out to him as an individual to share her light with him. However, this isn’t the case. Instead, Selene gives him a vision. It is considered uncommon at the time, given the fact that their species are still so few. There’s no way to know if what he encountered was true.
Alexander sees the lasting images of who he presumes is his mate within the vision but it cuts out far before he can latch onto leads. What’s worse is that she doesn’t even call out to him. She has no scent to follow… nothing. In short, it drives him mad.
The action or lack thereof transforms his character from a hopeful werewolf into an evil minded creature had to be done correctly to be believable. While many werewolves, including many of his claimed false mates, pack mates who served as enforcers and guards, and pups alike hated him for his cruelty, there were others that held on for his awakening. They wanted him to snap out of the grief that holds him to his least desirable actions is an amazing step forward. Grieving the life that he leaves behind to do such a thing is also dependent on the individual. It’s depth can only be reached by the one handling the mental disturbance, and Alexander’s life is filled with them.
While he has an extensive background, I do have to take a pause here. The next entry that we'll have of the Alpha King is when he's been reincarnated in Vivian's time period. He will appear to be younger, but not by much. More on this later. Next up is Kassandra.
Until then, happy reading!
