The Omega Witch Character Introductions: Dane

Updated: Mar 2, 2022

Hey All,

I’m glad to finally introduce Alpha Dane. He was a tough one to sort out but overall knowing exactly what my characters should look like is kind of a downfall. That being said, here’s Dane. In the book, Dane doesn’t take shape as a human much. His stature is well known as a black wolf, which usually meant his job was to be on the hunt at night.

This is not, however, what Dane was doing then. He resigned himself from the self-proclaimed Alpha King’s pack. As more werewolves realized what was happening around them, they too, seeked out Dane’s pack. Given the fact that they were all truly brothers and sisters, Dane soon adopted the notion that his pack would become known as the Brothers Pack. It wasn’t to belittle the women that joined them, but rather, it shielded them from being found. Especially after Kassandra led the charge, smuggling her pups along to him to protect.

Pups, like omegas, were the real sufferers. Not only did they grow up in the slums of that kingdom, but they also were ripped away from their mothers, only to grow up thinking that their designation made them either a piece of property or a tool. It was a hard thing to watch. And so Dane accepted all that made it to him. It didn’t matter their pack’s size. They’d find their way and survive. Being a wolf made it far easier to hunt and provide. He taught them life skills for when they were of age and needed to take root building their own pack.

Losing Kassandra, his sister, to the Alpha King and all of those werewolves that didn’t bother to challenge him and stop the madness cut him deeply. So much so that when he hears of Maximus’ call to arms, Dane doesn’t hesitate to rally his forces.

Next up, Maximus Aaron.

Until then, happy reading!
