The Omega Witch Character Introductions: Maximus Aaron

Like all of these characters so far, Maximus Aaron, who’s name means greatest mountain of strength, has a large role to play. Born to his mother, Kassandra, one of the many omegas taken by the estranged Alpha King Alexander Asmodeus, Maximus wasn’t just one of the many. He was the largest of the litter. Unbeknownst to him, that meant that he wouldn’t share the same detachment issues that his brothers and sisters would. While he was still taken from his mother as a pup, like the rest of them, he was welcomed into the ranks.

It meant being fed regularly and a place to sleep that wasn’t overwhelmed with bodies. In fact, all of his special amenities were given based on his bulk. Maximus was trained to hunt to provide, and fight to enforce the king’s will on the rest of the pack, just like the others.

As he grew up, it was expected he would become an Alpha, which would ultimately test his will. Other Alphas within the pack did the same. They listened to their king and provided him with what he required. Not much had changed over the years. The Alpha King still expected all Omegas to be turned over to him. None could present their designation in the privacy of their own choosing. It was the king’s culture to strip them of their virtue and although every Alpha on the line, including Maximus himself, had to keep themselves together, less be burned alive.

The thought of self perseverance laid heavily on his heart. Burning to death lingered in the back of his mind while the shame of becoming an Omega was unfolding before him. He, along with the others, kept the Betas and scoundrels that ignored their wolves or their humans for that matter, at bay. For every new Omega to join the Alpha King’s horde, an old, used one would gain an Alpha in their ranks. One that could not bare another pup or both the Omega and the Alpha she was given to would suffer a gruesome death.

Maximus Aaron, however, could not shake this. It was a permanent hell for all.

One day, his mother came to him. It was odd to find her out of the King’s lair but there she was, exhausted, malnourished, but round. She looked like she was searching for someone and decided to find refuge with him. She explained her story. In his heart he knew he would help her at all costs. She did bring him into this world and because of the world he knew, there was no other reason not to. The pups needed safe passage and he decided he’d do that for her.

The first time it was safely orchestrated. He met his mother’s brother, Dane, who was only ever known to stay in his wolf form. Aaron only came out to hunt and surfaced in his mind to ease his human while Maximus took on the tremendous stresses around him. Together they saved enough pups for even the King to notice.

Maximus’ mother takes the blame and is publicly humiliated by the Alpha King. His connections to Dane and his pack are at the ready when Maximus Aaron finally lets loose and severs the ties his father has on him.

And with that, I’ll take a pause because the rest is too spoilery to tell. I will take this back to the post about Sylvia Tana though and add the notation that because of her actions after her parents failed attempt to keep her untraceable and the implications that happened thereafter, these characters are all getting screwed out of finding their fated mates. All of them are out of balance, including Maximus Aaron.

In their current path, made by Sylvia and continued by the Alpha King, they are breaking down the werewolf species. Stopping what’s been going on can only put a pause on the destruction and bring some hope to their world.
