The Omega Witch Character Introductions: Sylvia Tana Silverwind

I realize that there has been time between posts but I am deciding on how I want this portion of the site to be used and quite honestly, I really don't want to bog this down with meaningless posts just to have constant content. It made more sense to me to give more quality conversations over quantity. That being said, I took some time to contemplate how I wanted to see this section through and after a significant amount of thought and already branding my novels throughout the site so far, I’d like to focus on giving a look into one story at a time. Since The Omega Witch was my first original story on Dreame, I’d like to start with introducing the characters as we meet them throughout the book.

This first post is dedicated to Sylvia Tana Silverwind, and yes, this is my own artwork which is part of the reason for the time between posts as well. In the image, because of my layout design from left to right, her wolf is first, being Tana, and her human, Sylvia, is beside her. I figured I would explain that right off the bat because of possible confusion between the two.

As mentioned in the first article, the characters within this book are split into three consciousnesses: their human, wolf and designation. Their first two names follow that order. Sylvia is this character’s human and means spirit of the wood. Tana is her wolf and means star goddess. Silverwind, however, is her last name, and is the reference of her family’s pack name. Her designation is Omega. While this does not have a special name other than Omega, having her designation known is a feat. It meant that at one point, she was at peace with herself.

Having the ability to be at peace with herself meant that she achieved balance. She was allowed to know her trinity, which would have brought her one step closer to finding her fated mate. Only, as we find out in the first chapter, Sylvia’s parents are focused in the sciences and keep to their ways. They’re against goddess Selene’s mark of fertility, also known as the Omega’s first heat, because of her age. They want their daughter to have a chance to protect herself and choose when it is her time, rather than have her innocence robbed from her.

Without spoiling the story, their actions changed Sylvia’s fate as well as their own. Sylvia’s story had been carried on over the years and analyzed by each new generation who looked for a cure to this madness. All the while, Sylvia continued down her path, taking her share as only she could while her Omega prayed for it to stop...
