The Omega Witch Character Introductions: Vivian Zera
Hey All,
I’m back to introduce Vivian Zera as the main character and the only point of view we hear from throughout the story. Like Kassandra, who hasn’t been reborn (yet), Vivian Zera is on her first life when we meet her. She is twenty-two, athletic (like the majority of the others) and is out of touch with the reality of her trinity. It’s not to say she doesn’t know it’s there or the importance of finding it, but she shares the same passion as Jordan, needing science to back her up instead of some biology driven mate.
She’s an idealist and finds opportunity through history as well. It’s hard for her to let go, especially when her questions only inspire more.
Her name, Vivian, means: alive; while Zera means: new beginning. This is referenced throughout the story but is only given an appropriate amount of attention when Alignak teases Goddess Selene about her choice in the matter. This does go undetected at first by Vivian, and for the sake of spoilers, I can’t bring it up any further.
Regardless, we get to see what it’s like to be working within the limits of herself. Vivian’s human form has been in control of their trinity for their entire life. Zera, her wolf, has only been out once in a blue moon, and even that was limited. Vivian barely has a connection to Zera and that relationship dramatically impacts her Omega too.
In the time since presenting and her present itself, Vivian’s breakthroughs in the sciences have masked her as what she calls a False Alpha. It puts her Omega through her paces, being broken down and regarded as nothing but a plague that could not possibly give her anything good. Zera doesn’t trust the Omega because of this and Vivian is a close second in terms of variations of herself that couldn’t be further from equal. In short, they are at war with each other.
Vivian keeps a tight leash on herself. She doesn’t want Zera or her Omega out at all and the price she pays because of it, changes her completely. She becomes more. A source for change. And the more she’s willing to listen to each piece of herself, she’s capable of doing the same for others.
With that, I need to stop because anything else would be an over share.
Next up, Damian Takuya.
Until then, happy reading!
